35 month old Monkey

I can't believe it in less than a month, this little man is going to be 3! This cute little boy is one of the great highlights of our life. He has such a fun personality, yet he is as stubborn as can be. Many times we have the battle of the wills and although somedays it is enough for me to pull my hair out, I hope it is a trait that he continues to have as he gets older cause it will turn into drive and ambition. Aiden is a busy boy and is always wanting to do some sort of activity. He also loves playing with other kids. The last few days, the neighborhood kids have come over and he will talk to them through the window. Although they are 6 and 8, they still always ask if he can come out and play. So, Ernie and I will get his bike, and then we will go outside so he can "play with friends". He really enjoys this and tries to do his best to keep up with them. Aiden has a lot of little quirks. One of them is the fact that he does not like to start off the night sleeping on his bed. Instead, he wants to sleep on a "floor bed" (a blanket and pillow on the floor). So, once he has been sleeping for awhile, we will put him in his bed. Another funny thing is that he will randomly start laughing really hard while he is sleeping at night. Aiden still loves to read books, but really like to read out the letters and tell me their sounds as he looks through the books. Aiden knows all the colors even teal and magenta. In fact, we were at Chili's one night when the waitress gave the boys balloons. When we got outside, Aiden let go of his and it flew away. So, in order to keep from having issues, I gave him Caleb's balloon which was navy blue. When I tired to tell Aiden that was his balloon, he said, "no that is Caleb's. Mine is teal." I was so surprised that he knew the color teal....there are many grown adults who don't know that color. Aiden is great at counting and can count to 30. He is smart and really loves to learn.
We love Aiden and enjoy his cute personality. We are so lucky to have him in our family.
