The Polar Express

The last night of our "mini vacation" found us getting on PJ's to go on the Polar Express. The Santel boys came by for some pre-Polar Express entertainment.
I chose to wear normal clothes, and not my PJ's.
Aiden had on his new Christmas PJ's and he looked really cute!
 Here is Caleb
The ride was a lot of fun. We passed by a lot of lights and saw some pretty sites.
We also got to sing Christmas Songs
On our way to the North Pole, they handed out chocolate milk and gingerbread cookies. They were delicious!
Sweet Caleb Boy

We all waited in anticipation of getting to the North Pole. At one point the conductor came back to talk to us-just like in the book
Once we got to the North Pole, we saw Santa's workshop, and even picked up a special visitor
Santa himself left the North Pole to come and ride with us.
Santa went by each seat to talk to the kids and then gave them a special present-a bell
We had a lot of fun on the Polar Express! I am not sure where my pictures
On the way home we stopped at McDonald's for a quick dinner-a decision Ernie later grew to regret as he woke up with awful food poisoning. After eating our dinner, we had some special visitors.

Some of Santa's elves came to tuck the boys into bed. They also gave the boys a special present from Santa.
The boys had fun with it at first, but then started crying-not sure if it was too much, too late or what!
Overall, we had a great mini-vacation. This may become a tradition for the Rivas Family as we really enjoyed it!
