21 Month Old Monkey

My monkey is now 21 months old! I can't believe how fast time flies! Here is Aiden double fisting his sippy cups.......
Here he is sporting his new Patriots sweatshirt he got from Ernie's Auntie Rosie and Uncle Lenny. Aiden is such a fun and happy boy. He is constantly amazing me at the amount of things that he is learning. He will randomly say a word and I will think "where did he learn that?" But, the answer is most likely at preschool. His teacher is amazing and does such a great job of teaching him!
Here is Aiden with his new favorite person-his "Babay" brother. He likes to sit on the edge of his brothers bouncy seat and talk to him. He has also become very helpful and will give his baby brother his paci, hang up the animals on the bouncy seat, and feed his baby brother his bottles. Sometimes he will try to share his snacks with his baby brother or try to pick him up, so I will have to remind him that only mommy and daddy can do those things. He also is constantly kissing and saying hi to his brother. It is fun to see them interact.
Aiden is a very active boy and loves to play golf, basketball, and throw his baseball or anything else that resembles a ball. He watches everything his daddy does and copies it. He even picks up random things and swings them like a golf club-just like daddy! So, daddy has to watch everything he does and says.
Aiden has had a few boughts of sickness with the latest being pneumonia. So, he has only been to nursery 2 times, but he LOVES it and loves to play with the kids. He is also learning about Jesus, and the other day while at my parents church, he randomly pointed at a picture and said, "Jesus". It is so fun to watch his mind constantly working as he is taking in everything that is going on around him. At 21 months Aiden can:

Count to 20

count backwards from 5

count to 5 in Spanish

recognize some letters

recognize and name shapes

recognize some colors

sing songs

knows santa says "ho, ho, ho"

know his aunt Mandy and will say, "Aunt Mandy"

Knows what all the animals are and what they say

Can repeat the Little Einstein movies

Can "read" 2 books that are his favorite and basically he has memorized

Knows how to turn on the TV and the DVD player so he can watch his movies

Loves his baby brother

Loves Sonny

Calls every dog Sonny

Calls every kid that is smaller than him a baby

Loves to color and draw

Is a very helpful brother

Loves to watch all sports and will pick a team and cheer for that team the rest of the game

There are many other things about this little man but they would take a lot more space than I already took. We love Aiden and are so lucky to have such an awesome little boy. I am so excited to watch him learn and grow.
