First of all, this little man had his 1 year appointment and here are his stats: 23 pounds (55%), 30.75 inches in length (75%), and head circumference of 47 cm (70%). So, he is starting to thin out. Now on to the party. This little man had his 1st Birthday Party and it was fun! We had it a couple of days late so that his Aunt Michelle could make it. There are a lot of pictures in here, so if you don't like them you will have to skip through. We had lasagna and meatballs made by his Grandma Rivas, and Pizza as well.
The theme was Toy Story. Ernie had this sign made at school.

The table had all sorts of decorations including Woody and a fun toy story book!
Here is the sweet birthday boy. This was his last day of getting a bottle, so he was taking advantage of it. (he actually transitioned to a sippy cup very well.....now time to get rid of the paci)

What is a party without party favors? These are some fun little toy story popcorn boxes along with microwave popcorn and many other Toy Story treats. We also had a Toy Story placemat for each kid.
Here are some of the partygoers: little miss Claire Parkerson
Little miss Lydia Parkerson (Claire's twin)
William Santel
Aiden Jackson Rivas
My friends Ashley Bowers and Dana Meyerson
Michelle and Matt Irwin talking with Paul Parkerson
Aiden tackling his other adopted "granna". This is Grandma Marion. She is so great and watches the boys for me while I go to school. I don't know what we would do without her! She also supplies me with many novels and books for me to read!
This is John McFolin (Grandma M's son, and our good friend), and his fiance Elaine
After eating, we opened the presents. Caleb got a lot of great presents.
Aiden drinking out of someone's cup. He went all around the party picking up cups and drinking out of them.
I had many little helpers as you can see. Thomas Santel was my biggest helper and helped me open the presents since Caleb did not do it himself. William Santel has on the Buzz towel that he gave Caleb. And, the little man in the background is little Ross Parkerson. He is about 3 months younger than Caleb but they are already buddies.
Here are Ross and Aiden playing with the wrapping paper.
Cleaning up after the present opening.
An attempt at taking a family picture....kind of hard with an independent 2 year old!

And now on to birthday cake. Caleb of course got his own little cake.
The Happy Birthday song was initiated by big brother Aiden. Aiden also helped blow out the candle.
Caleb is not really sure where to go with the cake thing......
But it takes one taste of frosting, and he is ready.
Here is his cake that the rest of us got to eat. It was so yummy! I love Publix cakes!

Caleb's first few bites were all frosting.

Here he looked like he was starting to get sick.
So, I got him a drink.....
And he was back to eating again. Soon after, I took the cake away and he got in the bath. Overall, it was a fun party. It was great to spend time with family and friends and celebrate the birth of this great blessing in our life. We love you Caleb and are really excited to continue to watch you grow.
Last of all, big brother had to pull out one of Caleb's presents-his To Story sleeping bag.......Caleb is very good at sharing with his big brother!
